Camera Features

You can choose the 50MP option from the aspect ratio settings on the top. It also has Scene Optimizer, Pro Mode, Pro Video, Night, Macro, Panorama, Food, Super Slow-mo, Slow Motion, Hyperlapse, and Single Take. There is also a wide-angle option for the front camera, similar to other Samsung phones.

Image Quality

Daylight shots are good, capturing a good amount of detail with well-exposed photos, good dynamic range, and sharp detailing. The dynamic range can be further improved by enabling HDR mode from the settings, which automatically turns on HDR when needed. Even though the phone has a 50-megapixel sensor, the final output is in 12-megapixel resolution. Autofocus speeds are fast and accurate. Ultra-wide shots from the 8MP camera are decent.

Macro shots from the main camera are good, but the dedicated macro camera mode is not very useful. Portrait shots are impressive, thanks to Samsung’s algorithm in detecting edges accurately. Low-light performance is decent, but expectations should be kept in check. Night mode enhances details, but a steady hand is required as processing takes two to three seconds.

Front Camera

The 13-megapixel front camera performs decently in most cases. Software-based blur offers decent edge detection.
